A multinational automotive manufacturer operated 12 factories using disparate, heavily customized legacy ERP systems from the 1990s. While they adopted Coupa for Business Spend Management, procurement officers had no real-time visibility into factory inventory levels. This resulted in duplicate material orders, bloated warehouse holding costs, and supply chain bottlenecks.
Our Architecture
Replacing the legacy ERPs was deemed too risky. Instead, Flowtaris built a custom API mesh using MuleSoft to wrap the legacy on-premise databases. We created a unified integration layer that syncs inventory levels, POs, and receipts directly into Coupa. Procurement teams now use Coupa as a single pane of glass, while the legacy systems act purely as headless ledgers.
